Belle Glos Meiomi Pinot Noir, Sonoma County -
Monterey - Santa Barbara,  2008

 $19.20 bottle  $220.80 case 12x750ml
Tech: 13.9% Alcohol. 100% Pinot Noir (65% Sonoma Coast, 20% Monterey, and 15% Santa Barbara) fermented using punch-downs in open top fermenters.  Medium purple in color with well formed legs; dry, medium-full-bodied and rich with freshly balanced acidity.  Supple and juicy. Rich and ripe with a bit more red than black cherry berry fruit. Lovely earth, cocoa, and spice notes but still with a hint of cola. Supple in the mouth. This is the best Meomi yet. Excellent. Spec’s Score: 91+VHR. (Try this most versatile red with grilled salmon or roast fowl ... or take it with you to your favorite BYOB restaurant.)

Comte St. Antoine 14mo.
$16.99 lb  sale good through 7/31/2010
This is an extra special cheese from the French Alps. This Comte is aged a minimum of 14 months in an 18th century fort that was built into the Jura mountains, providing a cave-like environment. The result is a deep, long in the mouth, fruity taste.  Very noble and aromatic, it is ripened to a lovely brown "wood colored rind" with a yellow paste. Made with raw milk that only comes from cows bred on rich summer pastures.

Warm, toasty pita bread is wrapped around grilled slices of traditional gyro meat, drizzled in a cool and creamy tzatziki (cucumber yogurt) sauce, and topped with fresh tomatoes and grilled onions.

Lagunitas New Dogtown Pale Ale
$6.99  6pk 12 oz bottles
Lagunitas New Dogtown Pale Ale has been my favorite everyday drinking pale for some time now. A nearly flawless execution of the West Coast pale style, this beer combines generous amounts of bright bitter hops with a background of mild toasted malt. Intense grapefruit and a touch of something between pine resin and black pepper dominate while the light application of malt keeps you thirsty. New Dogtown is satisfying for all the same reasons as a double IPA, but dangerously sessionable. Perfect dinner beer, hoppy and engaging but won’t destroy your palate.
