Marieke Raw Milk Gouda $14.99 lb
sale good through 7/24/2010
Made in Thorp, Wisconsin, Marieke’s raw milk gouda is as good as it gets. Holstein cows provide the freshest milk, which goes directly from their milkings to the cheesemaking vat. Marieke Raw Milk Gouda is then aged for nine months. The taste starts slightly sweet and then is rounded out with pleasant nuttiness and finishes with a sharp, piquant bite due to the raw milk. The firm smooth, texture adds to its indulgent nature.
Big John
One look at this sandwich and you’ll know why we named it so: a full half pound of Angus roast beef is layered with bacon, cheddar cheese, leaf lettuce, ripe tomato and horseradish mayo, then stacked high on an onion roll...oh my what a sandwich!

Great Divide 16th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA
$9.75 22 oz bottle
Well, it’s birthday time in Denver and the good folks at Great Divide Brewing have outdone themselves with their 16th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA. Billed as a big version of their Denver Pale Ale, this one retains the basic elements and proportionality of the original at a size sure to please even the most extreme hophead. The inclusion of English and American hops gives the beer a charming combination of instantly recognizable Old and New World flavors. Last year’s pencil shaving funk is noticeably gone. Sweet and clean and citric, with the vanilla of the oak connecting the malt to the finish and showcasing an even hoppiness throughout. Delicious and surprisingly warm weather friendly.
